Description
Detailed aerial view looking south showing the beach, dock and beach houses at the north end of Palisades Park in Santa Monica, California. Ocean Avenue and Adelaide Drive can both be seen heading eastward with Inspiration Point at their junction. The mouth of Santa Monica Canyon is seen in left edge of image.
Glass chipped at top of negative. Title devised by cataloger. Date transcribed from note handwritten on verso of copy print of negative: "Sta. Monica, beach at north end of Palisades, 1924." Related item is an alternate view facing the beach house seen in the upper middle of this image. The stairs descending from Inspiration Point are seen in upper left of image photCL_555_05_35.
