Description
"Eingang zur Aussenstation Sonntagskloof b. Elim. "Das Wallfischtor" "Heck" aus Wallfischrippen." ("Entrance to the outstation Sondagskloof n[ear] Elim. "The whale gate" "gate" [made] of whale ribs ."). The picture shows a path. On the left and right a big whale bone. A construction of wooden sticks and wire between the two bones. Bushes left and right of the path. On the right in addition a fence made of wire.
The term "Heck" refers to the Afrikaans word "hek" and was probably written wrongly. The word "hek" means "gate".
