Description
Photograph caption dated October 23, 1956 reads, "Van Nuys High's great center, Dennis Martin, will be in starting lineup Friday night in 'big game' against Canoga Park. Martin missed last week's Venice rout because of illness and wasn't at practice yesterday but was on hand today ready to roll. Coach Winston Tucker calls Martin one of the best centers he's ever coached. The Van Nuys-Canoga Park tilt is one of three that pries lid off Valley League season this week."
