Description
The First National Bank of San Jose stands on the southwest corner of First and Santa Clara Streets. There are a number of automobiles crossing this busy intersection, as well as some pedestrians. This nine-story bank opened in January 1911. The right one-third of the building is actually an addition built in 1927. The building still stands at this corner, but looks very different from this view due to an extensive remodeling of the facade in 1963.
