Description
A photo of the construction of the bridge at Fourth and Lorena Streets, Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, Dwyer Studio, 1928 January 24. The view is taken from the southeast and shows finished and partially completed concrete supports, wood framing for these supports, and other portions rising from a gully in the hilly portion of the southeast section of the neighborhood. A crane, construction equipment and material, and some nearby houses are also of note. At the bottom right is the location, the date, and the name of contractor Thomas Kelly and Sons. The stamp for the studio, identified as a commercial photographer, is on the back. With curving of the paper, slight soiling and minor edge rubbing, the overall condition is good.
