Description
This June 1999 image shows Dr. Max L. Dimick and his wife Nadine, standing before the Arden-Dimick Branch of the Sacramento Public Library, located at 891 Watt Avenue. The Dimicks’ generous donation of 800,000 dollars, in November 1997, was instrumental in the expansion of the branch, opened in 1972, from 8,000-square-feet to 11,000-sqaure-feet. Max was a native of Idaho and Stanford-trained obstetrician. He and his wife, also a Stanford graduate, lived in the Sacramento area for over five decades.
