Description
Photograph of an early style "pusher" airplane at Mines Field, Los Angeles, ca. 1931. The biplane can be seen in the foreground at right. It is taxiing to the left. Three wheels compose the landing gear, and a large engine can be seen suspended between the two wings. A pilot can be seen seated near the front of the aircraft, while a propellor pushes the aircraft from the rear. Several blurry buildings are visible in the background. Mines Field would later be the site of the Los Angeles Airport.
