One of the most successful rock acts of all time, Van Halen got their start at high school dances and at Gazzari's and the Whisky a Go Go on the Sunset Strip.
First photograph caption dated May 15, 1984 reads, "From under a heavenly blue light, lead guitarist Eddie Van Halen inspired ecstasy in Sunday night's crowd." Van Halen is shown in mid-leap onstage at the LA Forum.; Second photograph caption dated November 27, 1986 reads, "What? Cut those locks? Eddie Van Halen did just that, for an upcoming video."
