Description
Aerial view of the intersection at Washington Boulevard and Western Avenue. The corner building on the left side shows approximately six storefronts, among them: a drug store at the very corner, and a radio station, possibly Monarch Radio with its huge white antenna tower. Across the street, on the opposite corner, an L-shaped structure is either being built or demolished; mounds of debris can be seen scattered throughout the front of the building. It appears that a traffic officer is directing traffic from the middle of the intersection.
