Photograph of Company B, First Regiment National Guard of California. Soldiers are in dress uniforms with guests at camp reception. The regiment was based in San Francisco. Summer camp was at Camp Terrell, at the Agricultural Park in San Jose, July 21-29, 1888.

Master images scanned at 300 dpi and scaled to 6000 pixels on the longest side. Bit depth: grayscale at 8-bit; color at 24-bit. Images compressed to 800 pixels across the long dimension and to JPEG format. Scanning outsourced to Luna Imaging Inc. as part of an LSTA Grant funded by the California State Library in 2003-2004. Scanning hardware is unknown.
