Description
A group of men wearing cowboy hats wait at the "Pacheco" train platform. Children cross through the rail tracks in the distance. Between 1983-1988, the 80's were considered to be the "lost decade" because of Mexico's debt crisis. This was due to the falling oil prices that left Mexico without foreign currencies to pay off its $80 billion debt. This in effect, increased high levels of unemployement, especially in rural areas.
