Note translation: NB judging by the background (corrugated iron sheet!) these objects were photographed in Cameroon. (PJ 02.2002). - These objects are not in the ethnographic collection of the Basel Mission. Beautiful figure from the Western GRasslands. Note the mankalo board below right, with the slave shackles above. The drum is not a talking drum, and is, in any case. probably from Nigeria (PV 02.2002).
