Description
Photograph shows the Ricard Memorial Observatory on the Santa Clara University campus. In the foreground is a cactus garden. The sign on the building reads, "Knights of Columbus of California, Ricard Memorial Observatory."
The observatory was built in 1928 and was named after Father Jerome Ricard who was known as "Padre of the Rains." The building currently houses the Archaeology Department.
Scanned with Microtek Scanmaker 1000XL Pro; as a 600 dpi TIFF image in 8-bit Grayscale. Auto Level image processing applied and compressed into JPEG format using Photoshop CS3.
