Photograph caption dated May 5, 1958 reads "Superior Court Judge William B. Neeley, seated, takes over bench vacated by Judge Walter Allen. Clerk Andy Schultz, standing, submits files for judge's approval. Judge Neeley was chief of the Public Defenders office for three years, appointed to the Superior Court in 1949 by then Governor Warren."
