Description: Installation of the north pedestal of the Hooker telescope, also showing the 10-ton crane used in the erection, Mount Wilson Observatory. Photographed inside the observatory dome, the structural interior of the dome is visible. A construction worker is near the top of the image, operating the crane that is lifting the pedestal. On the pedestal itself is written "22,235 lbs.". Above the construction worker, the gears that operate the crane are seen. A ladder runs along the interior wall of the dome.
