Description: Image of an advertisement for horse shoe nails manufactured by the Globe Nail Company of Boston, Massachusetts; four vignettes illustrate interior and exterior views of the Globe nail factory, including workers laboring in the manufactory; two smaller images contrast nail manufacturing in 1776 and 1876; testimonials and list of suppliers at center.
Images at top are engravings. Date supplied by cataloger based on printer history; Rand, Avery & Co. began printing in 1878 and were succeeded by Lawson Mfg. Co. in 1889. "Rand, Avery & Co., printer.s, 117 Franklin Street, Boston."--text, bottom left margin. "Globe Nail Company, Boston, Mass."--text, bottom right margin.
