Description
Sophie C. Wong has served the entire community as the Founder of the Alhambra School District Foundation, Founder and Charter Chairman of the Asian American Association of the Alhambra School District, and the Founder of the Alhambra Latino Association, organizations which provide scholarships to deserving area students. She was honored by the Latino Educators Association for her outstanding support. She served as an active member of the California Latino School Board Association. She is the recipient of the Mayor's Award for Community Involvement for the City of Monterey Park, and was Chairman of the Monterey Park All-American City Blue Ribbon Committee.
