Description
A: Petticoat (1870). Starched white cotton, gathered at back of waist, 1/2" shell button. Bottom edge decorated with 4 rows of tucks, bands of diagonal tucks, 8 rows of horizontal tucks, satin stitch flower sprays & band of cut-work w/scalloped edge hem. (Laundry mark "Mary Bray") B: Blouse (1895-1900). White cotton gauze, bodice has vertical lace inserts with shirred bands in between, gathered at waist front & back. Open neck to waist with hook & eye at waist. Long sleeves, puffed at shoulder. 1 1/4" wide gathered bands from puff to wrist, lace trim at wrist. C: Skirt (1895-1900). White cotton gauze, gathered at back waist, 6" hem. No embelishments on skirt.
