Description
High-necked bodice buttons at center front with decorative overlay trimmed with lace-edged self-fabric ruching, and 1 to 4-inch graduated white thread lace, which fastens with a hook and bar at the left shoulder. Hidden, self-fabric pocket, about 3 inches square, under the overlay. High standing collar edged with tight self-fabric pleated ruffle, edged in 1/2-inch cream thread lace. Cream silk satin bow at back neckline; bodice back has rear yoke trimmed in cream thread lace in a double-V pattern, over 1/2 inch flat knife pleats across the center back. Slightly full leg-of-mutton sleeves trimmed with lace-edged self-fabric ruching at the shoulder and wrists, with a flounce of 4-inch lace at the cuff, over a fitted undersleeve, trimmed with 3-inch lace. Sleeves double lined. No label on the inside; fitted white cotton lining with white stay tape at waist. Floor-length skirt of pale green organza, gathered at the waist with fullness gathered more to the center back. Hem has 5 1/2 inch self-fabric flounce headed with 1/2 inch cream thread lace. Skirt is unlined (for wear with a decorative petticoat) underneath. Fastens with double hooks and eyes, center back.
