Description
Shown in circa 1930 is Sutter's Fort, as viewed from the northeast. The fort grounds - left for dead - were purchased by the Native Sons of the Golden West, after a donation of 15,000 dollars was made by the Crocker family in 1890. The property entered the California State Parks system in 1947.
