Description
These locomotives and construction cranes are likely in Boulder City, Nevada. After the abandonment of the Mt. Tamalpais and Muir Woods Railway in 1930, the Railway's Engine No. 8, to the right of the crane in the foreground, was sold to United Commercial, then to Shell Oil, and finally to Six Companies of Boulder City, Nevada, for work on the Hoover Dam. The day after this picture was taken the engine was destroyed in a collision with runaway gravel cars.
