View looking west on Seventh Street toward intersection at Figueroa. A painted safety island is visible in the foreground next to the streetcar tracks. The building on the northwest corner of the intersection contains the Coast Furniture Company, the Paul G. Hoffman Company, and a Studebaker sign on the roof. A billboard behind the building proclaims it to be the future site of the Statler Hotel. A banner reading "YAARAB" picturing an Egyptian scene is hung over the street. 2001-0787.
