Description
Image of a group portrait of a female musical group dressed in formal gowns and seated in a row under a loggia with a lake and trees in the background, with some playing musical instruments including violins, a flute, horn, harp, and cello and accompanied by one male member seated in the center and two male members in blackface at each end also playing instruments; thirteen vignettes with head-and-shoulder portraits of the female performers in formal dress above the central image.
Probable date approximated by cataloger based on show history; Madame Rentz's Female Minstrels began around 1870 and began going by the name Rentz Santley Burlesque Company around 1879.
