Plates in: Mulholland, "The pay roll town of the San Fernando Valley", pg. 17. Shows rocky valley, mountains in background, numerous horse-drawn wagons and carriages clustered around roped off area. Ca0598. Walter M. Lenz and Robert J. Widney, sales agents for project to develop town of Mulholland and Mulholland Hills in San Fernando Valley. Project developed by Mulholland Development Company, opened to public Nov. 10, 1912. Pacoima Submerged Dam built across Pacoima Creek in San Fernando Valley to create underground reservoir. Constructed by digging down to bedrock, two gathering wells included.
