Description
Photograph caption dated October 30, 1963 reads, "Monroe High School meets Poly Friday night for the East Valley League football championship and here are several of the sturdy Vikings who have carried their team to a 3-0-1 league record this fall. Monroe overpowered San Fernando, 33-6, last week on the 49er 'Shotgun' the four gridders in top photo engineered it. They are, from left, Rod Schneller, Pat Strong, Bob Glasgow and Rod Dilger. Bottom photo shows a close up of Dilger, Monroe's leading ground gainer."
