""The Old Woman of the Freeway"" (or the ""Freeway Lady"") was painted along the Hollywood Freeway by Kent Twitchell in honor of his grandmother who had lived in Hollywood. Actress Lillian Bronson (1902-1995) served as Twitchell's model, but the afghan captured in the mural was one made by his grandmother. In 1986, the mural was lost when Blue Wallscapes, a billboard company, painted over it. The mural was recreated 30 years later on the Students Services Center of Los Angeles Valley College, near where Fulton and Hillview Park avenues meet.
