Photograph caption dated March 16, 1957 reads, "Cares for client's kitten - Atty. Paul Major takes small kitten from trunk of car belonging to Glen Mitchell who was sentenced to 30 days in City Jail for failing to comply with a court order demanding that he get rid of 15 cats. Mitchell, once a professional violinist, said, 'I would rather go to jail than get rid of my cats.'" See image 00153385 for additional photo in this series.
