A program for the 43rd annual Nisei Week Japanese festival. Includes: Nisei Week history: its started as gimmick in 1934 to attract Nisei to shop at Little Tokyo stores... now look at it!; The churches and temples of Little Tokyo; Asian Rehabilitation Services, Inc.: a model social service program helping disabled people help themselves. This collections includes programs from the Nisei Week Japanese Festival in Little Tokyo, California. The programs are dated from August 1949 - August 2002 and include images from events at the festival, such as the Coronation ball, tea ceremony, fashion show, talent show, and the Nisei Week Queens. Also included are letters, greetings, and introductions from Nisei Week Queens, mayors, volunteers, and others.
