The two bas-relief sculptures by Donal Hord, ten feet high and six feet wide, were the only exterior decoration for the new Central Library Building. The facade and lower portions of the sides of the building were faced with Santa Maria stone, a beige California limestone with streaks of brown and yellow. Title supplied by cataloger.
