Description
"Rungwe. Schüler der Zentralschule. v. Schw. Gysin" ("Rungwe. Schoolboys of the central school. [Taken] by S[ister] Gysin"). Five standing young men. Four are wearing shorts and shirts, one a shirt and a cloth around the hips. In addition one boy is wearing a tie, another has long socks.
Editha Katharina Gysin (1899-1953) was a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine. She served from 1929 to 1940 in Rungwe as teacher and was engaged in the work among women.
