Description
California Room in the History Department at the main Los Angeles Public Library was opened today at this ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the start of Literary Centennial throughout the state. Taking part in the ceremony are, left to right: Dr. Gustave Arlt, Directory of centennial; Edward Dickson, Chairman; J. Gregg Layne, Mrs. Ella Robbins; Dorothy Bowen; Lloyd Mitchell; Robert Vosper, Mrs. Elmer Belt and Harold Hamill, City Librarian. Photograph dated April 15, 1950.
