Description
In the wake of the October 17, 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake, Caltrans commissioned an oral history project to document the personal and professional experiences of Caltrans employees who worked to restore the State's damaged transportation system. At the time of this interview Tommy Roberts was a Supervisor III with Caltrans at the Foster City Maintenance Station. Some of the highlights of the interview are a description of him experiencing the Loma Prieta earthquake, and repair work on Highways 280, 9, 35 17 and 1.
