Photograph article dated March 26, 1963 reads, "There is a new tree and plaque in Los Angeles' MacArthur Park today, commemorating the centennial of the presentation of the Army Medal of Honor. In ceremonies at the park Monday, the Association of the United States Army planted a memorial tree and unveiled a small plaque near the statue of Gen. Douglas MacArthur. Gen. MacArthur and his father, Gen. Arthur MacArthur, are the only father and son both to win the Medal of Honor. Among Medal of Honor Winners attending the ceremonies was George B. Turner, 7858 Fairchild Ave., Canoga Park. Turner received his medal in France for attacking 80 German soldiers alone Jan. 1, 1945."
