Description
Photograph of beach groins which keep water from eroding from the coast, 1953. Broken wooden frames are scattered along the rocky beach where the lightly-colored splashes of water wash over the jagged boulders at center. A gravel hill stands on the left behind the beach with a thin road winding around its top where a taller, grassy hill stands. The beach is striped further down with dark groins that extend into the water. Photoprint reads "Here, groins are shown being projected into the Pacific along the southern California coast".
