Description
Two women are depicted standing in a garden, with trees and a tall stone building in the background. The woman on the left wears a white ruched bonnet with pink flowers. Her dress is a light pink with long sleeves. There are narrow black vertical stripes on the dress and down the middle front is black crisscrossed trim. Over her dress, she wears a white lace mantelet tied in the middle with a green ribbon. The woman on the right wears a pink bonnet with matching plumes. Her dress is a pale blue with a checked Tattersall plaid pattern. The dress has a narrow white collar with a pink bow, long sleeves, and a pointed waistline. On the skirt are two wide ruffles in the same fabric as the dress. She has a white shawl with deep fringe draped over her elbows. In her left hand is a light blue parasol.
