Description
Turquoise wool garbardine, one-piece, floor-length reception dress, with shaped princess seams, trimmed in medium blue brocade, and blue and gold braid. Bodice has gathered yoke in the blue brocade, with matching blue and gold braid trim; bodice fastens with hooks and eyes up front, with asymmetrical pointed flap that attaches to left shoulder, with a metal hook covered by a large blue brocade bow. Back bodice trimmed with blue brocade ribbons that go from bows at the back of each shoulder, to a single bow at center back waistline. Pleated and puffed leg-'of-mutton sleeves, with gathered cream thread lace ruffle and medium blue brocade bow at wrists. Separate collar in pleated blue brocade, fastens with metal hooks and eyes at the back, covered with a blue rosette, and is basted into a small standing collar on the bodice. Bustle pad attached to back skirt waistline, and waist stay tape at center back bodice seam. Lined in cream polished cotton, with small watch pocket at front opening at bust line. Back hem edged with velvet, and back 3 skirt panels very slightly scalloped.
