Description
Photograph of a view of a train yard in Modesto, Stanislaus County, 1900-1940. Trains on train tracks are visible running from bottom left towards center right. Buildings composed of vertical wooden planks are visible to the left of the tracks. Beyond those buildings to the left are additional various-shaped buildings. Most have flat roofs, while two have towers. "Gen. Arthur Cigar" is painted on the side of one building at center, while utility poles, a dirt road, and trees run parallel to the train tracks at right. Flat, open land is visible in the background.
