Description
Stone sculpture in relief of Kinnaras. In Hindu and Buddhist mythology, these are half-human (both male and female) and half-horse or half-bird (as here) celestial figures. They are depicted playing musical instruments and/or singing. Here the male figure on the right is playing a lute-like instrument.
