Photograph article date stamped October 20, 1962 partially reads, "The mark of a good football team, it is said, is one that wins the games that count. Pierce College has won only two contests in five starts, but the Brahmas are undefeated in Western State Conference play with a 2-0 record. Pierce dropped a 34-22 non-league tilt to a powerful Phoenix College team Friday night at Brahma Stadium before some 2,500 fans." Photograph caption reads, "Pierce College's Walt Newton skirts right end - Brahma's Fred Kipp (70) tries to get into the play." See image 00160720 for additional photo in this series.
