The $2,500,000. research and development center of the Richfield Oil Corp. was built on a 20-acre site adjacent to the Santa Ana Freeway at the west edge of Anaheim, and opened on October 23, 1956. It comprises a laboratory building, administration building, pilot plant, engine laboratory building, shops and a warehouse building. Crescent Way is diagonally at forefront, bending just below the 5 freeway (middle left), and paralleling it to top left; Muller Street starts at middle left, and runs diagonally to upper right; the Santa Ana (5) Freeway is vertically at extreme left, though not visible from this angle.
