Description
"The Chicago Cubs were forced to postpone their scheduled opener with Pittsburgh today due to a spring snow storm. Workmen try to get the stadium ready for another day while contractor Ed Estrada puts the finishing touches on the new contour seats in the reserved section of Sacramento's Hughes Stadium, site of Thursday's Pacific Coast League opener involving the Sacramento Solons and Spokane. The solons were held hitless in five innings yesterday by Tucson before calling a halt to their final exhibition game in Temple, Ariz., due to cold wind conditions. The Sacramento team arrived in the Capital City this morning to begin final preparations for the opener"
