Photograph of men digging a trench during the construction of a storm drain at Eastern Avenue north of Twining Street, 1934. At center, a trench with square walls extends into the distance. Inside, men with shovels work at making what appear to be grooves and struts on the floor of the trench. At left, more men can be seen digging on the edge above, while at right, coats are hung from nearby wooden frames.
