Photograph was edited for publication purposes
Photograph caption dated January 6, 1950 reads, "The Mayflower - The good ship Mayflower, riding on a sea of blue cornflowers and delphinium with whitecaps of stevia, sailed down Colorado St. as Burbank's entry. The hull of the elaborate floral ship was made of homegrown roses and pink chrysanthemums." Note: This was Burbank's entry in the 61st Tournament of Roses Parade.
