Description
The evening of May 27, 1942, is enlightened by the neon sign of the Art Deco-style Hart's Restaurant at 919 K Street location. The location, previously occupied by the Vienna Restaurant, opened in the fall of 1937 with a chromium metal marquis, photo cell-operated automatic doors, carrara glass and a capacity of 300. The Hart brothers, W.S. and Harry, opened their first restaurant in Sacramento in 1913.
