Description
Photograph of a postcard showing the road to Ryan, a mining camp in the Death Valley, California, 1925. The narrow, dirt road is barely discernable amongst the rocks and brush of the dry land in the foreground. It curves through a shady patch on the right and back to the left where it disappears in the peaks of the hills. The Ryan camp itself can be seen at the base of the mountain in the background. The postcard is addressed to Miss M. R. Gomes and family, 349 Edgeware Road, Los Angeles, California. It is postmarked in the city of Ryan, Inyo County, California in November 1925.
