MacArthur Park, created in the 1880's under the name Westlake Park, was later renamed in honor of General Douglas MacArthur. This picture was taken from a small rise and shows one person standing by the shore. Looking across we can see some ducks in the water, the boathouses on the farther shore, and some tall buildings beyond the park.
