Description
Photograph of the exterior view of the bathhouse at Redondo Beach, ca.1910. Known as "The Plunge" and later the site of the Horseshoe Pier, it was the world's largest indoor saltwater pool. The four-story building features Spanish-style roof, Moorish-style domes, and ornamental moldings around the corner entrance. Flags are situated on top of each corner tower and above the two domes at the center of the building. A nearby single-story building features multi-curve parapets. Construction material lay on the floor between and in front of the two buildings. People are along the sidewalk.
