Photograph article dated August 21, 1948 partially reads, "The huge pool was officially handed over to the city by La Verne Still, president of the parks and recreation commission and Floyd J. Jolley, councilman....Two bronze plaques were dedicated, one by Still in behalf of his parks and recreation board with the names of its members on it, and another by Jolley with names of the city councilmen also on it. Both officials handed the pool over to the city 'for the happiness and the health and the vigor of the community which it serves--the city of Burbank.'" Seen, at left, councilman Floyd J. Jolley shaking hands with La Verne Still.
