Description
A handwritten letter from Mary A. Henderson to Mary Julia Workman, dated October 3, 1917. The letter discusses plans for activities and night school classes to be taught at the Brownson Settlement House and other schools around Los Angeles, with the intention of coordinating activities around the city and drawing inspiration from the work done at the various schools. It goes on to describe the offerings at Castelar Evening School, which include English classes as their primary focus, with crafts and other skills according to the Sloyd educational system to be added in later on.
