Description
View of a horse-drawn wagon carrying straw baskets on North Los Angeles Street in front of the Arcadia Block building on the southwest corner of Arcadia Street in downtown Los Angeles, California, with visible sign for the Lloyd-Scovel Iron Company at 319 N. Los Angeles, and the partially obscured sign, at left, for the Harrison & Dickson broom and basket manufacturing factory at 317 N. Los Angeles.
"Howland and Co. Photographic Supplies Kodak Headquarters 211 South Main Street. Los Angeles, California"--text, printed on verso. Title devised by cataloger. Date approximated by cataloger based on general history of depicted businesses; the Harrison and Dickson Company last appeared in Los Angeles City directories in 1900, and the Lloyd-Scovel company began appearing at 319-331 N. Los Angeles (instead of 321-323) in the 1899 city directory.
